Become A Member Of Our Team

The National Ice Hockey Officials Association, Westchester Chapter is a charter chapter, founded in 1974. The purpose of our organization is to promote the game of ice hockey, its players, coaches and officials in the youth, high school, and college leagues. We have two classifications of membership which are based on age.  Residents of the organization’s territorial region (Westchester County) who are at least 18 years of age may become members if they successfully meet certain criteria which include; passing a closed book examination and verification of on ice performance as established by our organization’s the Membership Committee.  Membership is also open to residents of the organization’s territorial region who are between 14 and 18 years of age and who successfully complete registration as a USA hockey on-ice official.

At this time, our chapter is affiliated with and supplies officials for NY State Public High School Athletic Association member schools at the varsity, JV and modified levels Westchester and Putnam Counties.
